About Our Staff
Our staff of skilled registered nurses, certified scrub technicians, and medical assistants has over a century of combined experience dealing with injuries, disorders, and diseases of the eye, most of whom have been at the Dayton Eye Surgery Center since we opened in 1999.
Our full time Medical Director on staff is also an Anesthesiologist, and is responsible for making sure that each patient is thoroughly assessed preoperatively and receives the safest care possible throughout their procedure.
All are appropriately certified and meet or exceed the qualifications set forth for their position according to current standards and best practices. Dedicated to creating personalized, exceptional patient experiences, our team members have the talent and compassion to ensure the superior levels of care that have helped us to build our reputation through the years.
In addition, among our staff are those with the following advanced certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – There is always at least one ACLS certified nurse in the facility in case of an emergency.
- BLS (Basic Life Support or CPR) – All staff that work with patients are trained in basic life support.
- CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) – A number of RNs have their CNOR certification. This certification provides extra training for the OR nurse.
- CST (Certified Scrub Technician) – Several of our staff are certified to scrub in on surgical procedures. Our RNs also scrub on many procedures.
